About Us

Yoga has been a part of my life since I was a teenager, but my journey with mindfulness began even earlier—when I received my first meditation mantra at the age of eight. With a mother immersed in mindfulness, I grew up with a deep appreciation for self-awareness and inner peace.

Although my first career was in architecture, in 2015, I felt a calling for something more meaningful. I left behind the structured world of design to travel, and along the way, yoga found me again. I completed my first teacher training and began sharing my practice with friends, family, and later, in a yoga and wellness retreat near Valencia. This journey led me to Tenerife, where I completed another yoga course and taught in Alicante.

My passion for learning and growth took me to India, where I completed 300 hours of advanced yoga training, lets write it along with Yin Yoga, Yoga Nidra, and Face Yoga certifications, bringing my total to 550 hours of Yoga Alliance training. I am also a dedicated Vipassana meditation practitioner, as meditation has been a steady foundation in my life, bringing clarity and inner peace.

Additionally, since 2007, I have been a student at the School of Relax, where I earned a Pro-Mentoring Diploma and gained valuable insights into self-development and guiding others.

Beyond yoga and mindfulness, I have a deep love for holistic well-being. As a vegetarian and vegan chef, I believe in the power of food as medicine and nourishment, incorporating principles of Ayurveda into my approach. I find inspiration in the ocean—snorkelling, swimming, or hiking Tenerife’s awe-inspiring trails through volcanic landscapes and lush forests—embracing the island’s beauty and calming energy.

A pivotal moment in my journey was meeting His Holiness the Dalai Lama, an encounter that profoundly deepened my spiritual path and strengthened my commitment to sharing what I have learned.

I feel incredibly fortunate for the experiences and wisdom I have received. Yoganda is my way of giving back—offering a space where people can move, breathe, and flow before slowing down to reconnect with themselves and feel the healing power of nature. Through yoga, meditation, nourishing food, creative workshops, and mindful living, I hope to guide others on a path of self-discovery, balance, and inner peace.

With love,
Maya
